Overview of the Phenomenon

Welcome to the most informative web site about Pine Bush, NY that you will find on the Internet. I must inform you within this site you will find facts you may find difficult to believe so be sure to keep an open mind. Everything within this site is true, there are no doctored photographs or fictional accounts.  All photographs have been filmed by respected individuals in the UFO and Paranormal community. So I urge you to open your mind and let your experience begin.

The late Ellen Crystall, author of the infamous book “Silent Invasion”, brought Pine Bush, NY to the UFO community’s attention. There is a link on this site that is dedicated to the work of Ellen Crystall.  Had "Silent Invasion" never been published, most of us would be ignorant about UFO activity in Pine Bush, myself included. My journey began in 1992 when I ventured up to Pine Bush, NY to see what the entire buzz was about. Now almost 14 years later I still find myself driving that famous stretch of road to catch a glimpse of the crafts that seem to inhabit the area. I will not go into depth about my personal experiences, but I will admit I was extremely skeptical when I began. However, the things I have witnessed have not only altered my life, but the way I view UFO and paranormal activity.

The Pine Bush phenomenon continues to persist over twenty years later. UFO activity has been noted throughout the world, from the controversial Roswell, NM to the Bent waters England incident. UFO sightings come and go, but there are selected places in the world where this type of activity seems to continuously reoccur in cycles. Researchers say most UFO patterns come every 7-10 years, the activity in Pine Bush does not follow that pattern. Although most nights are quiet, other nights may be full of ground and / or air activity. Personally there have been nights when I left Pine Bush perplexed about what is happening in the area.

For decades the entire lower Hudson Valley has been witness to rashes of UFO sightings. How can we forget the enormous boomerang shaped craft that hovered over the Newburgh mall in broad daylight, which appeared on an episode of  "Unsolved Mysteries". In the book "Silent Invasion", the author Ellen Crystall explains how the crafts still inhabit the areas surrounding Pine Bush. The towns that border this activity are Crawford, Montgomery, Walden, Wallkill and Shawangunk, to name a few. The main areas of activity are in Shawangunk and Crawford Township, which have large amounts of corn and cattle fields. There are also the Shawangunk Mountains where these " beings" are known to have visited. In the early 1990's the activity in these areas was at an all time high. No one knows for sure who or what these "beings" are or what their motives were. There were "special" areas the crafts and their occupants seem to frequent. Another highly concentrated area of activity was the Old Jewish Cemetery on Route 52, which is now off limits to the public. Crafts, lights and strange noises can still be heard coming from the woods adjacent to the cemetery. In the past several years I personally have seen, filmed and heard many strange anomalies associated with this area. The photos on the upcoming pages will take you on this journey throughout the active areas in this locale.

There is not only activity in the sky, but also the activity has been seen on the ground as well. Over the years, many people have witnessed sky activity, but only some of the dedicated have noticed what has gone on at the ground level. We believe these crafts that were flying in the night and day were doing fieldwork. In the pictures, on the following pages titled "Light Beams", you will see this strange phenomenon better known as marking beacons. There are not many photos taken in Pine Bush that show these extremely bright marking beacons. Only registering on film and not noticeable to the naked eye, light beams were among us. What these crafts were doing was mapping out what fields or areas that they possibly needed to work in or fly through. Many times there were large beams of light that would come from the ground level near the Jewish Cemetery and West Searsville. Between Searsville and the old cemetery it is approximately 2-3 miles of large fields and heavily wooded areas. We are not 100% sure what these beings were working on or harvesting, but some say it is the ore content that is in the area. Remember, we are in the mountainous range of the Shawangunk and Appalachians, so there are a lot of enriched minerals that encompass the area. To gain more information about what minerals are mined in the New York state areas please reference

The Mineral Industry of New York, (the reference guide is in Adobe Format).

As the year 2000 approached, the sightings became more sporadic. Occasionally there are reports of UFOs floating throughout the area. Believe it or not, there are still the people we call sky watchers out there every night watching and waiting for a glimpse of what might come. The nighttime sky in Pine Bush is exquisite, since most of the area is rural and there aren't many streetlights. The stars and the planets seem to be alive at times. On occasion you can observe many of the satellites that revolve around our planet, and if you look close enough you just might catch a glimpse of the mysteries, which lurks in the area during the day and the nighttime.
